Hosea 13:14
14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave;
I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be
thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction:
repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
John 11:39-45
39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the
sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord,
by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead

loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and
foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about
with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and
let him go.
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had
seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
You may wonder why I use the handle @deathlyhorror to spread the word of God on steemit. It is a celebration in my mind that death is conquered by Jesus so that now even the grim reaper is preaching the gospel message. You commonly hear that death is final and that would be true if not for the miracle working power of God who gave His only Son as a sacrifice to undo the power of the grave...
Isaiah 26:19
19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead
body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell
in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the
earth shall cast out the dead.
On Jesus' great day of return long-dead bodies will reform from the dust in supernatural form and rise to live forever. Old age, sickness and death take a heavy toll on humanity and cause a great deal of tears and grief, but someday...
Isaiah 25:8
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord
God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the
rebuke of his people shall He take away from off all
the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
