Ang Balaang Bata(The Holy Child: Señor Santo Niño-Feast)

Viva Pit Señor, steemians!
Sinulog Festival is an annual celebration where all of the Cebuanos gathered to give thanks and praise our Señor Santo Niño. It is celebrated on the third week of the first month of the year.

Sinulog is a short term in bisaya "gisaulog" which means "celebration".Pit Señor, "Sangpit sa Señor", that simply states we are calling for the holy child and that we need his help.

There are many devotees believe that Señor Santo Niño made miracles. Our family is one of those because we believe that everyday there is a miracle happening. In the moment we open our eyes in the morning, it's already a miracle for us.

Before the feast came, we always make sure to attend the novena mass.
I am proud to tell everyone that Cebuanos are very religious. We value each culture. And for this kind of celebration, almost all of the peple in Cebu attends the mass. That is why it is very crowded in his church for all over the years this fiesta is celebrated.
