This is my 666th post. And as suggested by @alexgr, I have waited for this time. First off, let me ask you a question: 

What is the role of digitcal currency, specifically STEEM, in this end-time prophecy?

666 a.k.a. The Number of the Beast

This very popular number is found mainly in the Bible particularly in the book of Revelation. As a Christian and a believer of the Bible, 666 is the number of the anti-christ who will rage war against the Lamb, which is Jesus Christ.

16 And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 

17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.

18 Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred sixty-six.

Interpretations

Some interpretations indicate that 666 is the mark of papacy, yet some say it's the mark of the government and the world super power. It is also Satan's number!

Verse 17 tells that no one could buy or sell unless he had the "mark of the beast" or the number 666.  This is true to the fact that if a central government controls our currency, then we will be subject to their impositions. However, with the advent of digital currency, which is said to be decentralized, just like STEEM, this could be circumvented and in fact, show how powerful digital currency is! Or will it?

Will digital currency be the vehicle to pass such law (no mark, no buy/sell), being the medium by which we do transactions?

In the Right Hand or on the Forehead

It was rumored back then that "bar codes" are the initial implementation of the mark of the beast. Whenever a product has a barcode, it was said to be a product by companies who worship Satan. That turned out to be false. Now, as new technology emerges, a traceable capsule or microchip may be implanted on the right hand which emits RFID signal which can be read by a RFID reader.

If placed on the forehead, that won't be a pretty sight. Maybe a more fashionable version?

Seriously, though, most Christians believe this is more of a "spiritual" thing rather than a physical one.

In any case, those who don't have the mark of the beast will definitely be "cast outs" from the society. But then they are assured of eternal life God has promised them.
