Why the Bible is against ejaculation

Several years ago I stumbled upon the writings of Samael Aun Weor.  His views seemed very extreme at the time and definitely counter to the prevailing culture.  His teachings are considered Gnostic and Christian based, although certainly not typical Christian views.  He weaves together teachings from nearly every major religion and then some.  One of his main points though turns up again and again in his writings:  Ejaculation is man's great sin.

At first this viewpoint seems rather simplistic and oversimplified.  In his writings however he essentially makes a case that the practice of ejaculation which is taken for granted as healthy and normal in our modern culture is in fact a terrible mistake and a grave sin.  He makes the case that it effects the nerves, the mind, and the spirit in ultimately exceedingly harmful ways.

As someone who has gone through the typical education system and is even familiar with sexual education in private religious schools I can say that Samael's teachings are not typical.  He has written many books that touch on this topic and just about any topic he speaks on eventually returns to this theme.  He passionately believed it was his mission to educate the public in this regard and if a person were to read his books they would be struck by their immediacy and call to action.

How does this view match up with the actual Christian Bible?  Is there any evidence for such a seemingly radical teaching?

Let us examine 1 John 3:9

"No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."

Examining this verse further through the Blue Letter Bible and its interlinear Greek reference we see that "seed" is "sperma" in the Greek original.  In the word's meaning list it is listed as (2):

  1. The semen virile
    1. the product of this semen, seed, children, offspring, progency.

Keep in mind this is not a specifically Gnostic text.  This is found in the typical Christian New Testament.  However it is an interpretation that is sometimes forgotten or ignored out of convenience or even ignorance.  Samael Aun Weor seemed to think it his mission to educate the people of this message and it is something that should be considered by any serious student of metaphysics or the Bible.
