There are important questions that deserve solid answers when it comes ro do with understanding dating and its essentials.
Dating is not only for teenagers or adults, but its actually for both older and newly single people, who because of divorce and widowhood, are re-entering the dating scene

• Habits and attitudes established during the dating years, are usually hard to change because one might still end up carrying them over to marriage life.

Truth is, most people think there's a specific age one needs to attain before dating, but generally thats not so true.
The answer is not really as simple as it is when people gets to ask what age is suitable for marriage. In reality, the question of when a person is ready to date, depending on the developmental level of the child, and the parents attitude towards the child. this is as a result of differences in maturity of children, because most kids mature faster than others and its very common with the female child since most times, they usually mature faster and earlier than the male child.

• Healthy relationships begins at both spiritual and intellectual levels.
  There are usually two choices: you either get to follow Gods standard by choice, or you end up following the worlds standard by default. Either ways your purpose of motivation, interest, dreams, and personality should be alike

Every relationship has three levels which involves, spirit, mind, and body. And this implies there's always the spiritual and physical part in dating.
God actually created relationships to begin at the spiritual level before the physical, but temptations to jump to the physical part is what most people tends to do this days, they are usually under tremendous pressure from every quarter to jump immediately into it were they get attracted to just physical looks and things they get to see, and before you know it, they are deep in emotional involvement to the other person without even getting to know if they both share similar interests or dreams and views of life, then it becomes too late when they discover their supposed date isn't really having similar interests with what they feel, and so since there's already an emotional entanglement, either one of them ends up being heartbroken.

• When you have buid up yourself to see and regard dating as a matter of choice rather than it being the first necessity or priority in your life, then you are ready to date.

Even if you are alone, dont ever make your life lonely, consider Adam the first man in the bible, he was actually busy doing things for God but still he wasnt lonely rather he was just alone before God decided to give him Eve, not because Adam wanted her but because he saw that Adam needed not to be alone.
Most people see relationships as sense of incompleteness, no one can truly give you 100% of their time in relationships, you can only end up having 50% if lucky and it usually happens with time, people mostly focus on what they lack and they hope to find it in other persons, and this kind of relationship makes them to live in insecurity because they both expect to supply each other's needs and neither knows how long they can keep doing it.
You can be ready to date only once you have seen the completeness in you without expecting anything from your partner, let the attention, time or money he gives to be just be a bonus and not an expected income. Dating is a matter of your ability to be happy and contended whether you are with a particular person or someone else.

• learning how to be single and independent before dating matters alot, a person should be complete both physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually consumed by God that he will have to interrupt you to bring another person into your life, and your dependency isnt on anyone.

For one to archive this part in his life, self love is the first and essential step, some people already hate themselves so how can you imagine they can love others completely, even when they try too they might find it hard to fit in the relationship.
Inferiority complex most times makes people to create self hate even without knowing, especially when comparing themself to others.
Our first priority is to love God and then love others just as we love our selfs but if we cant love our self how else can we love God or ourself?
So being alone and discovering once wholeness matters especially growing ones own root, it simply means being focused, motivated and also in control of your self rather than the lifestyle of other people controlling you, were you only dress to please people, you buy things because others are buying, and you only think and reason what others are thinking, making you not to be comfortable with your own thoughts and ideas.
Your wholeness should make you be self motivated, internally directed and comfortable with yourslef with the value of your lifestyle even if it seems to be you are standing alone, you shouldn't worry as long as you are on Gods part of your wholeness.
