Build Relationship Capacity.
You need to build your relationship capacity. The number of worthy relationships you have around you will determine how far you will go in life. This is why it is important to surround yourself with the right kind of people who will help you, take you forward and can challenge you. A man will remain the same in 5 years except for two things; the books he reads and the people he surrounds himself with.
The widow woman, whose story was shared in 2 Kings Chapter 4. She was told by the prophet to go and get as many vessels as possible. From there, her relationship capacity was challenged because she can only get more vessels based on the number of people he is on good terms with. The number of vessels she brought home was as a result of her relational capacity. You need to build credible relationships around you because it will determine what you will get out of life. You need to treat people around you with love, respect and caution because a relationship severed today won’t be of worth to you tomorrow.
You need to have the ability to persevere. Persevere with people’s character as well as your efforts. When you fail at something, just try again just as Simon did when Jesus told him to cast his net one more time, even though he has toiled all night long. Successful men are ex-failures. Failure is a raw material for success. I will lose count on those who finally attained success after several failed attempts; Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, to mention a few. Don’t give up, just give more; more effort, more resources, etc.
You need to develop tenacious faith. The devil also gets tired, you know? When you keep at it and keep resisting the devil’s attempt, the devil will eventually back down. Verse 11 says: *”Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.” The devil also gets tired when you have a tenacious attitude. When you fall seven times, rise every time. Successful people survived several times just to reach their goal. There are so many stories around, and you can create yours too.
