Why do victims of sexual assault rarely speak out?

Because they are afraid of us, society and most importantly their family member. Some of them think that if they confess that then they will not get enough support from their family members and relatives. Some of them also think that if they speak out then they will have bad reputation in the society. 

If some of them speak out , their voice is blocked by their family. As they care about their family reputation and pride. Also they think that if people know this then they will face problems of getting their daughter married off.

This kind of mentality should be changed. Family support is the most important things in this prospect. Also social awarness is needed in this case to make people more aware of this kind of acts.
