What is the source of your anger?

For some of us it just happens, one wrong word by a friend or co worker and you blow your top. Why does this happen to me?

People are affected by their background. Thing that happened to you as kid can have an affect on your life today. The way you reacted when you were humiliated as kid still lingers in your mind and is triggered by seemingly innocent events. When you were young your brother may have said something that made you feel ashamed or inferior and the same happens today.
How do I figure this out. Spend some time alone, put soft music on and just think back on your life. Try to remember how you felt in different situations. What made you angry and what made you sad. The more you make time to think about this on a daily basis, the more it will come back to you.

The next step is to think about a situation in current day where you reacted with anger or sadness. Think about the words or situation that made you feel this way. Did you hear a comment with a mindset of your past? was it a valid reaction to get angry? If not why did something trigger you the way it did? In many cases you will find that events from your past make you react in specific ways and anger is one of those cases.

When you find this being true, try to change the way you listen and react to others comments and think before you explode. IF your background was different would it be valid to get angry?

Bottom line - think one moment before you react with anger.

I have problem with anger and the primary source that I can think of is when the things that I wanted won't turn in the way I wanted it to be.

We can all learn form Thomas Edison. He tried more than 2000 times to get a perfect light bulb. He may have gotten angry a few times but he never gave up. His view was that each time it did not work, it is one more option eliminated, so try another
