Benefits of Being Single

Many times, I've heard people complain about being single and how they hate it.
The other day, my sis was like, "Oh I wish I had a boyfriend" and she went on and on to tell me reasons why she wished she had a boyfriend.
Now, don't get me wrong, being in a relationship is a beautiful thing. But what is the point of having a relationship with someone else when you haven't had one with yourself first?
Many people haven't learned to love themselves first before jumping into a relationship.
This is wrong and can leave you single again.
Being single isn't a bad thing and could be one of the best things that'll happen to you before you eventually commit yourself to one person.
There are several benefits of being single that many do not pay much attention to, I'll list a few of them.

Self Love

When you are single, you learn to love yourself. If you were in a relationship with someone, you would have to give that love to someone else. But being single let's you focus on YOU. You develop the habit of loving yourself and when you truly love yourself, then you would definitely be able to love someone else as, "You cannot give what you don't have".

Peace Of Mind

I have heard people complain bitterly about their partners. They almost always have one complaint or the other to make about their partners. They lose their peace of mind. But when you're single, you have peace of mind as the only person you're worried about is you. You are not worried about your partner, what he/she would say or do if you did something or said something. You naturally have peace.

Not Restricted 🚫

When you're single, you're not restricted to one person unlike before and can go ahead and have fun as much as you like without being reprimanded.
Well, while I'm not saying one is free to frolick with the opposite sex as much as they like but then, you're rest assured that your decisions/actions are not questioned by a partner.
You're not restricted to one person as being in a relationship is.

Economical

When it comes to being in a relationship, we all know that most at times, we have to sacrifice for our partners.
We sacrifice our time, sleep, hangout with friends and even money just for that partner.
Being single saves your time. The time spent on going out with your partner can be channeled to building/working on yourself and could make you become better.
In this era of the Internet, relationships mostly require that we be on the internet to talk to our loved ones or make some calls, especially when you and your partner are far away from each other.
You would want to talk to your partner every day and as such, requires that you spend some money for calls, texting and communicating with your partner.
Being single saves you all of that.

If you're not happy single, you won't be happy taken as happiness doesn't come from being in a relationship but from within.
