The theme of this series (relationship) is quite interesting. I think the difference in time of existence between the parents and the kids essentially creates a gap between the two parties. This essentially makes it difficult for conservative parents to build deep relationship with children, especially when they are grown (have earn their own voice and can say NO to Dad's directives).

we have seen liberal parents building bridges across the time gap, thereby, forming strong bonds with their kids.
