But individuals tend to think in ways that support group decisions.
As an individualist, this pisses me off, but as a realist, I have to accept that.
A tendency is a tendency obviously, but not a law.
For example, I could have stated that "people tend to think 'differently' from one another" and that would have been self-evidently true, because we don't always agree on everything.
I'm a fan of collaborative intelligence. Think of Newton explaining that his insights arose from being able to stand on the shoulders of the giants who came before him. Think also of the multiple engineers whose work dovetailed in order to solve previous outstanding problems, such as powered flight, electromagnetic communications, smartphones, etc. The challenges of solving aging exceed what any individual can handle by themselves.
