RE: The Abolition of Aging?

in #rejuvenation8 years ago (edited)

I'm inspired to hear of the dedication of your brother to this cause. The good news is that more and more of the science of longevity is becoming publicly accessible, via initiatives like http://genomics.senescence.info/. This will boost the number of "citizen scientists" who will be able to get involved in the field. As a result, progress can accelerate. The sooner, the better!

He looked you up, and said he would put you on his list of people whose work he follows. He is also a big fan of Ray Kurzweil. He got me to read "The Singularity is Near" several years ago. It's a fascinating book. However, I think the direction things are going with anti-aging and rejuvenation research and resulting treatments is much more exciting.

My brother just came around and took DNA samples from a large group of his family and friends last week to use as a test batch on an experiment he's running for his biotech start-up. I was a test subject! He always promised me I could be, with anything he developed. Hopefully, between his work and the work of others, we WILL see genuine rejuvenation and an indefinite extension of youth and longevity in the near future. It will change the human race for the better.
