ā Summer Melon Slushies
Stay cool for the summer with three refreshing flavorsāWatermelon-Lime, Honeydew-Ginger-Mint, and Cantaloupe-Basilāof shaved ice.

INGREDIENTS
YIELDS: 6 SERVINGS
Watermelon-Lime
1 6-to 7-lb. watermelon
Simple syrup (recipe, right)
Zest of 2 limes
Juice of 4 limes (about 1/2 cup total)
Honeydew-Ginger-Mint
2 4-lb. honeydew melons
Simple syrup (recipe, right)
2 tbsp. fresh grated ginger
4 sprigs fresh mint.
Cantaloupe-Basil
1 6-lb. cantaloupe
Simple syrup (recipe, right)
2 large sprigs fresh basil
DIRECTIONS
TOTAL TIME: 0:40
1.Remove the skin and seeds from the melon (pick one from above); cut into 2-inch pieces (you should be left with about 4 pounds total).
2.Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1/4 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer (donāt stir) until the sugar dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes.
3.Remove from the heat and stir in the flavorings (everything but the melon); let cool completely. Strain into a small bowl or measuring cup.
4.In a blender, working in two batches, puree half the simple syrup mixture and half the melon until smooth. Strain into a metal loaf pan or square pan; repeat with remaining syrup and melon. Cover and freeze until set, about 8 hours.
5.When ready to serve, using a fork, scrape the surface of the melon ice to create large flakes. Transfer to glasses, top with a splash of soda water, and serve with additional fruit, if desired....

Easy and delicious sparkling blueberry lemonade. The perfect cool down summer drink!

Ingredients
ā¦2/3 cup white sugar (superfine is best)
2/3 cup water.
ā¦1 and 1/2 cups fresh blueberries.
ā¦1 teaspoon lemon zest.
ā¦1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (~4-5 whole large lemons).
ā¦2 cups ice cubes.
ā¦3 cups sparkling water or club soda (my favorite is sparkling lemon lime water).
Instructions
ā¦Combine the sugar, water, blueberries, and lemon zest in a saucepan.
ā¦Bring to a boil over medium heat and then simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the sugar is melted and blueberries are starting to burst.
ā¦Remove from the heat and pass through a fine sieve. Let this blueberry syrup completely cool.
ā¦Meanwhile, juice the lemons to get 1 cup lemon juice.
ā¦In a large pitcher, add the blueberry syrup, lemon juice, and ice. Stir together.
ā¦Stir in the sparkling water or club soda RIGHT before enjoying (don't add sparkling water/club soda to anything you plan on having leftover).....

Strawberry Limeade Slushies
Ingredients
ā¦2 cups halved fresh strawberries, washed & hulled.
ā¦2 cups ice cubes.
ā¦3/4 cup water.
ā¦1/4 cup lime juice.
ā¦4 Tablespoons sugar
ā¦4 fresh strawberries.
ā¦lime slices.
Instructions
ā¦Place everything in a large blender. ā¦Process until smooth.
ā¦Pour into 4 cups. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and lime slice, if desired.
ā¦Serve immediately.
ā Watermelon Cooler
Kids love watermelonāmaking this the perfect drink to serve at family-friendly barbecues and summer parties. :)

ingredients:
ā¦4-5 cups of seedless watermelon (1 medium-sized watermelon), cut into chunks.
ā¦1/2 peeled cucumber, cut into chunks
ā¦5 -10 mint leaves roughly chopped
ā¦3 tablespoons of sugar
ā¦1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
ā¦a pinch of salt......
Directions
ā¦Depending on the size of your blender, you may have to do this in two batches, I did.
ā¦Divide your ingredients in half, and process it twice if need be.
ā¦ Place all the ingredients in a blender, and process until it smooth.
ā¦Pour the mixture through a strainer into a bowl, pressing the solids with a wooden spoon to get all the liquid out.
ā¦Place the watermelon mixture back in your blender and add ice cubes. ā¦Depending on how slushy you want it, add your ice cubes accordingly.
ā¦I wanted mine very slushy, almost like a snow cone, so I used lots of ice cubes. ā¦Serve immediately.

Itās something I came up with on a whim a few years ago when I was craving something sweet and refreshing and now Iām turning it into an even healthier recipe by adding 7 Up TEN (Just 10 calories per serving! ).
For the punch. Mix a 50:50 ratio of 7 UP TEN 100 % Mango Smoothy Juice (I use Mighty Mango Naked Juice). Because I use a smoothy juice the punch is definitely on the thicker side. Just giving you a heads up!
I picked up the new 7 UP TEN at Safeway this weekend.
start by making a batch of fruit ice cubes. Simply throw 1-2 cups of raspberries and mangoes into a food processor along with a cup of water. Pulse until smooth.
Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. And then add them to your pitcher or glass!
Super simple drink recipe! Great for summer time.

ā¦Stir the apples and apple juice into the iced tea concentrate.
ā¦Serve over ice.
ā Kiwi Lemonade Spritzer
One sip and you'll love this unique drink that perfectly balances sweet and tart flavors.
INGREDIENTS
YIELDS: 8
CAL/SERV: 120
ā¦3/4 c. sugar
ā¦6 kiwis
ā¦2 c. lemon juice
ā¦1 c. water
ā¦1 liter bottle seltzer water
ā¦lemon and/or kiwi wedges
DIRECTIONS
TOTAL TIME: 0:10
ā¦PurĆ©e the sugar and kiwi in a blender until smooth.
ā¦In a 1-quart container, stir together the lemon juice and water. Add the kiwi purĆ©e and stir. Chill until very cold.
ā¦To serve, pour 1/2 cup of the kiwi mixture into each of 8 tall glasses. Fill with ice and add roughly 1/2 cup seltzer water to fill the glass.ā¦
ā¦ If you like, spike a lemon and/or kiwi wedge on the rim of each glass.
