Hello everyone!
I will like to share something on hypertension and i will be happy if you can follow me because it will be very helpful for our living.

HYPERTENSION is one of the most common lifestyle diseases today, with every third person we meet, having suffered from it. It's also known as high blood pressure which is a long term medications condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries persistently elevated which can lead to cardiovascular disease, one of the leading causes of death in Africa.
Blood pressure normally rises and falls throughout the day, but can cause health problems if it stays high for a very long time. It's a major risk for a victim to have when they face rise in blood pressure which can leads to stroke, heart failure, chronic kidney disease and others which are as a results of being hypertensive.
A normal blood pressure should not be less than 120 over 80(120/80).
And another fact is that almost in 90% patients, there is no known cause for this hypertension and this makes case even more important to be alert.
Most of the victims are not even aware that they have hypertension, which makes the scenario rather grim.

There are two types of high blood pressure which are;
Primary hypertension and Secondary hypertension

  • Primary (Essential) Hypertension

This level of hypertension is mostly for adults, there is no identifiable cause of high blood pressure which tends to develop gradually over many years of growth.

  • Secondary Hypertension

In this types of hypertension, there are some people that have high blood pressure caused by an underlying condition which tends to appear suddenly and cause higher blood pressure than does in primary hypertension.

Therefore, this types of hypertension doesn't happens naturally, it have some conditions and medication that lead to this which includes;

  • Adrenal gland tumors
  • Thyroid problems

Medications

  • Birth control pills
  • Cold remedies
  • Decongestants
  • Pain relievers
  • Cocaine
  • Amphetamines
  • Chronic Alcohol.

A bigger problem victims are facing is that, they are normally not aware that they have hypertension. This could potentially be a grey area affecting the increase in population of the victims.

Research shows that even young people can be a victim of this through excessive time spent on smartphone who seems to be living in a virtual world instead if physically walking around and getting to know people personally which contribute majorly to the rise in hypertension.
In today's scenario, where everyone is working towards achieving a target to climb up the corporate ladder, strict lifestyle modifications can go a long way in reducing the menacing effects of hypertension.
