Reddit Bans Polular Communites -- Time for Steem to Shine?

in #reddit7 years ago

Earlier today Reddit announces changes to it's polices. This resulted in many communities being shutdown without warning. While some of the subs where promoting illegal activities most appear to have been banned for political reasons. It seems all markets were hit. Subs like /r/cigarmarket /r/airsoftmarket It extened even farther than sales even subs discussing places that sell stuff like /r/gundeals or setting up trades like /r/beertrades are now banned. Everything darkenet related got the ax too.

This looks like a huge opportunity for steem/steemit. If anyone knows people in these communities spread the word that there is a decentralized platform out there they should move to.

Shit! My beloved cigars..., F reddit anyway, I intend to start a cigar community here.

There you go. Start two communities a cigar one and a f-reddit one.

Haha, now that is a plan!

Wow. Usually when something like this happens there's a post about it at the top of /r/all. I'm seeing nothing about this. Censorship in full swing?

They even made an alt account to post the announcement and reply. So yes

steemit has come to stay.

Maybe but it hasn't even scratched the surface of it's real potential.

One door closed, another one is opened! please welcome to steemit..
