Another steelman that I can blow up without much effort...

Aren't red flag laws common sense? Even people to the political right of me have voiced support for them.

Okay, I've asked for a case of a success story of a red flag law. This isn't untested. There are states in these United States that have these laws.

The only link that any supporter of red flag laws has shared with me was a story out of Maryland. The story was about a man who got red flagged by a family member who was concerned that he was going to shoot himself who was killed by the cops.

There was never a stated concern that he was going to go on a rampage, and murder a bunch of other people.

That's the success story that people have come up with. It's a story of somebody why might have killed himself, who got killed by the police because of a red flag law. I've yet to be presented with a success story that showed the law prevented the deaths of any real victims.

By the mouths of the supporters of the law, the law has murdered at least one person who was only possibly violent to himself.
