I should note that there is an alternative way to perform public/private key recovery using your 24-word seed. I haven’t tried it yet, but it makes use of an offline version of the BIP39 Mnemonic Code Converter. This converter allows you to recover the associated keys for your HD wallet and then you could move them to another HD or non-HD wallet.
