The Body is an Amazing Thing - a 2 Month Timeline of a Bi-Maxillary Osteotomy
The names Harold and I make videos about fashion, create video art and shill cryptocurrencies to my family every week ;) I had a bimax osteotomy on the 21st of December of 2017 and all I had to do for 2 whole months was see everyone eating normally and having fun tucking into their christmas dinners, whilst I was upstairs figuring out how to use steemit ;) I took this video to eventually show everyone on this platform just how truly powerful the bodys healing process is, but also to promote my new presence on steemit as I used to make my fashion videos on youtube but you heard it first I want to be the magnus ronnings of the steem blockchain, here on dTube ;)

Maxillary Osteotomy: The operation is undertaken through an incision made in the gum above the teeth in the upper jaw. There are no incisions made on the face. The upper jaw is then cut with a small saw to allow it to be broken in a controlled manner. It is then moved into its new position, which has been predetermined during surgical planning with the aid of models of your teeth.
A small plastic wafer is attached to the teeth to allow the new position of the upper jaw to be determined, which is then fixed into place with small metal plates and screws. These are made of titanium which is a very inert metal and safe to be used in the body. The gum is stitched back into place with dissolvable stitches.
