Jack Traxxx #26: Walk For Me by Tronco Traxx (12", 1995)
Many house heads the world over credit this track as being the genesis point of modern Vogue/Ballroom music. I would have to agree. Have a listen, and you'll see what I mean. Sampled time and time again in various club hits since, "Walk For Me" remains an important point of reference for all aspiring dancefloor producers. With its' butch diva vocal track, driven by the chorus repeating the titular, "Walk For Me", and super sparse music arrangement, this track set the blueprint for Ballroom as a distinct music genre, all its' own.
