One year of the Rohingya crisis The world needs a strong role in rehabilitation

In the present context, the world community will have a strong role to play in the pressure on Myanmar to recognize the identity of the Rohingya citizens, to stop oppression and to ensure safe living. We hope that this crisis will be resolved quickly. The political solution to the Rohingya issue is essential for lasting peace, status and security in this region.

One year of ongoing Rohingya crisis has been completed. Today's crisis has not been solved. The whole plan of rehabilitating Rohingyas in their home is set to get bogged down. The Rohingyas were supposed to start the repatriation process on their own land on January 23, but they did not have any other reasons. In addition, various initiatives taken by the United Nations-led refugees to stumble over the funding crisis are various initiatives. The crisis is becoming increasingly visible day by day. Starting as a humanitarian crisis, the Rohingya issue is taking shape in geopolitical crisis gradually. The international community will play a key role in solving this crisis.

Myanmar's army has been torturing Rohingya for ethnic cleansing in the last few decades. But in the last year of last year, in October 2016, and last year, on 25 August, the Burmese army started torture and oppressed Rohingya people living in the Rakhine state in the name of ruthlessness. Thousands of Rohingyas have been killed in violence, numerous Rohingya women have been victims of rape Nearly seven lakh Rohingyas fled to Bangladesh after the violence. Before that, more than four hundred thousand Rohingya fled to Bangladesh to flee to different times. The Rohingyas have expressed their condolences to Rohingyas and refugees from Rohingyas for their solidarity with Bangladesh and the Rohingyas have been urged to return home. Myanmar authorities have agreed to take back the Rohingyas in international pressure. On November 23 last year, an agreement has been signed between the two countries in Myanmar's capital, Naypyidaw, for the repatriation of Rohingya. According to the agreement, the repatriation of Rohingyas has started from January 22, but it has not started yet. It's not even known when it's starting from. Therefore, there is a great danger of the process of repatriation or the completion of the process. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proposed a five-point proposal to resolve the Rohingya crisis. The hope is that the international community is still active on the issue of the Rohingya reinstatement. 132 lawmakers from five Southeast Asian countries wanted a UN Security Council intervention to face trial in International Criminal Court (ICC) for those responsible for brutal killings on Rohingyas in Myanmar. In the present context, the world community will have a strong role to play in the pressure on Myanmar to recognize the identity of the Rohingya citizens, to stop oppression and to ensure safe living. For humanitarian reasons, neighboring Myanmar citizens have been provided shelter in Bangladesh. The burden of this huge number of people must be a big burden for Bangladesh.
