Presenting my Playgroup Kids with their Awards during the Recognition Ceremony
Acknowledging the milestones of pupils at the end of the school year is essential in motivating them to continue excellence to the next level. In addition, it is also one way of telling the parents how well they have raised their children.
All of us have attended ceremonies like this but I tell you- choosing the best award for a certain student is never easy. You will spend much time for recollection. Honestly, I have spent one week of choosing, deciding, and revising for me to give the appropriate awards for each pupil. This is somewhat crucial because one mistake may lead parents unhealthily compare their child to other children and that is the reason why I dedicate so much time in just deciding for their awards.
These are my playgroup pupils wearing their medals.
The Recognition of Preschool Pupils was held last March 22, 2018 which was attended by our School Principal, Teachers, Parents, Visitors and our dear preschool pupils. The event was successul because of the happiness that we can see with the smiles of our parents and our pupils.
In this part, I would like to share to you the specific awards of each pupil and the definition of each awards. The list below is written alphabetically.
Avenel, Marcus R.
- Deportment Awardee - this award is given to pupils/students who conducts proper behaviour inside the classroom. This also includes the way how he deals with his classmates and how he interacts with the teacher. Pupils awarded with this can influence their classmates in having good behaviour inside the classroom.
- Most Generous- this award is given to pupils/students who are very generous. Would you believe how generous my Marcus is? In fact, he gives his snacks to his classmates even he is not told to do so. There are some times that even nothing left for him.
- Young Singer Award- this award is given to pupils/students who has the ability to sing well. My dear Marcus is really fond of singing and can even reach high notes. I did even advice her mother to enrol him in a music class to enhance his singing skills.
Baclohan, John Aaron C.
- Most Helpful- this award is given to pupils/students who offers help at all times. My Aaron is on top of being helpful. He even encouraged his classmates to help if he sees the immediate necessity of it.
- Cheerful Soul Award- this award is given to pupils/students who are very cheerful inside the class and those pupils who can influence cheerfulness to their classmates. Good thing I have my Aaron in the class which makes my class full of fun.
- Busy Bee Award- this award is given to pupils/students who are loves to have multiple activities. They can even do multitasking. Their world will be boring if they will just stay and sit in a corner.
Into, Lauris Angelo P.
- Most Diligent- this award is given to pupils/students who are very careful and conscientious in their duties or in performing certain activities. My Angelo is an example of this. He never complains and he never stops if he can't finish a certain activity. You can really observe how careful he was while working with all the activities.
- Most Courteous- this is self-explanatory. What's the good thing about my Angelo is when he encourages his classmates to say courteous words always.
- Most Patient- patience is difficult for a child because of their short attention span that's why I salute to my Angelo so much because of his patience.
- Most Behave- though the curriculum is playgroup, a child can still behave in his own way. My Angelo is behave in a way that he waits for my instructions. He asked first before doing certain things and he is very careful with how he conducts himself.
Nakila, Nicolae Zarah G.
- Best in Arts- this is given to pupils/students who excel in arts. The ability to complete the artwork with beauty and cleanliness. My Zarah even introduced the art of designing her papers. Our art class will never be done without her papers with design all over it.
- Eagle Eye- this is given to pupils/students who is a keen observer. Pupils who can see things that others can't. In fact, my Zarah is the one who can immediately appreciates all the materials given, mistakes and differences between two things and more.
- Young Dancer- from the word itself. My Zarah is my little dancer, she even lead the class for a zumba and interpretative dance.
Nakila, Norelai Zitah G.
- Little Teacher- this is given to pupils/students who has the ability of a teacher. The one who cares, share knowledge and can give commands. This little cute girl Zitah may become a successful teacher someday but she told me that she wants to become a doctor.
- Busy Bee- it is the same with John Aaron's award.
- Young Singer- if I have a little boy singer, my Zitah is my little girl singer.
Tiu, Alexa Fe Janell M.
- Playgroup Curious- Curiosity is the one that leads scientists discover things. This is given to pupils/students who is not scared to try things and who can learn better if it is acknowedged by her senses. If with proper guidance of the teacher and parents, this award can lead her to achieve best in science or quantum leap in science awards.
- Most Confident- Confidence is really important for the development of the child and it is really difficult to teach it to small kids. However, confidence of my Alexa is somewhat innate that she is very confident in everything that she does. In all the activities which challenged them to face big crowds, she can still wear her best smile which can't sometimes be seen in the faces of her classmates.
- Complete in Attendance- having a complete attendance is not very easy because there might be struggles or problems along the 10 months of schooling but my Alexa was able to surpass all of those. That is why she deserves to be acknowledged.
