Vegan Apple Tart Puff Pastry.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb apples (I used Granny Smith)
- 130 g / ½ cup + 2 tbsp caster sugar OR 150 ml / ½ cup + 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 45 ml / 3 tbsp olive oil (mild tasting)
- 1-star anise
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks (I used 2 Ceylon cinnamon sticks)
- ½ vanilla pod
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 400 g vegan puff pastry
