Who needs meat when you have jackfruit?
Jackfruit has risen in popularity for its ability to stand in for meat in traditional dishes. Like tofu, jackfruit is able to adapt to spices and sauces, easily taking its place in a variety of cuisines, from Southern BBQ to Caribbean Jerk and everything in between. These recipes offer a fresh spin on traditional meat-heavy items, including tacos, pot pie, and hash. But, jackfruit isn’t just for savory eats! The fruit also makes a great ice cream.
Pure desi but it is ripe Jackfruit and it is very tasty 😋. I can eat whole Jacfruit in one time. I like it more than meat. Upvote to post my favourite.

For clarity you should mention that it is the green, unripe jakfruit that makes an excellent meat substitute. Whereas the ripe fruit is, well, a different animal that is more like "mango-banana" or "pineapple-banana" in taste and texture. That's what we see in the picture -- ripe Jackfruit.
Just this summer we served a barbecued "sloppy Joe" or "sloppy Jak" as it came to be known, to perhaps 25 people from a single green Jak, shredded and baked and smothered in sauce.
