Cenil Cake Traditional With Additional Grated Coconut And Liquid Brown Sugar
Hello Steemian's...!!! Today I will share to you the recipe to make a Cenil cake. Cenil cake is one type of wet cake is a traditional cake from Indonesia.
Cenil cakes are generally made from basic ingredients like tapioca flour, or wheat flour. Cenil cake is a typical food that is unique, because it has a chewy texture and striking color. Usually cenil cake was red, green, yellow or blue, and given a sprinkling of grated coconut and extra sweets or sugar that has been melted. This time I had the opportunity to make the recipe simple yet attractive.

To make the cake traditional Indonesian cenil takes a few ingredients as follows.
Ingredients :
- 250 grams of starch
- 50 grams of wheat flour
- 2 red sugar
- 1 coconut that has been shredded
- Food coloring
- Salt to taste
- Enough water
After all of the ingredients is complete, then I will give you some steps to make it.
Steps :
- Heat water and add salt to taste, then enter tapioca starch and wheat flour into the water that has been boiled. Then stir until the flour evenly and lumpy
- When the dough is finished, separated into two parts in order to be given a different color
- In the first part of the dough, mix the red food coloring and stir until the color blends with the dough
- In the second batter did the same thing as the first batter, but with different colors
- After the dough is mixed with food coloring, take some dough and shape as desired. Then reinsert into the hot water so that the dough cooked perfectly
- Then grated coconut and sprinkle each dough that has been shaped as desired
- Melt the brown sugar
- Serve on a plate and pour the liquid brown sugar and cenil cake traditional ready to eat.
