Chicken Rho Soup
Recipe Servings: 5
Ingredients
one lb. bacon
one large onion
two large carrots
three cloves garlic
kosher salt
black pepper
four c. low-sodium chicken broth
twelve oz. split peas
Instructions:
In a large stockpot over medium fire, cook bacon until crispy, minutes minutes. Put it in a paper towel-lined plate and let cool, then crumble.
Put onion, carrot, and garlic to bacon fat and cook until tender and golden, six to eight minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Put broth and split peas and let simmer, covered, until split peas are tender, thirty five to forty minutes.
i wonder how it taste if i substitute chicken broth with bone marrow
