Ninety Minute Cinnamon


three fourhts cup milk
quarter cup margarine, softened
three and quarter cups all-purpose flour
one (.25 ounce) package instant yeast
quarter cup white sugar
half teaspoon salt
quarter cup water
one egg
one cup brown sugar, packed
one tablespoon ground cinnamon
half cup margarine, softened
half cup raisins


Heat the milk in a small saucepan until it bubbles, then remove from heat. Mix in margarine; stir till melted. Let cool till lukewarm. In a large mixing bowl, combine two and quarter cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt; mix well. Add water, egg and the milk mixture; beat well. Add the remaining flour, half cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. When the dough has just pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead till smooth, about five minutes.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let rest for ten minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine together brown sugar, cinnamon, softened margarine. Roll out dough into a 12x9 inch rectangle. Spread dough with margarine/sugar mixture. Sprinkle with raisins if desired. Roll up dough and pinch seam to seal. Cut into twele equal size rolls and place cut side up in twelve lightly greased muffin cups. Cover and let rise till doubled, about thirty minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
