Shortcake Twist
Ingredients
For your Donuts:
one tablespoon butter
two bananas, sliced
three tablespoons honey
A pinch of ground cinnamon
half cup almonds, sliced
one thick pastry crust
one egg yolk for brushing
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
In a frying pan, melt the butter and put the sliced bananas.
Put the honey and let it to caramelize.
Put cinnamon and almonds and set aside.
Put the pastry crust on a slicing board and slice into four pieces.
Create three slices in each of the pieces without slicing to the end of the crust, leaving the center whole.
Put a heaping spoonful of the banana filling and cover the pastry around it, alternating one side over the other.
Wash on egg yolk and dust with sugar.
Offer with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
