Sponge Cake
250 grams cake flour
2 tablespoon baking powder
150 grams butter
10 whole eggs separated
400 grams sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
1. Sift three times ( best results)the flour and baking powder .
2. Over low heat Melt the butter in a small pan . Allow to cool.
3. In a separat bowl,separate the egg whites and yolks. Now beat egg whites until they become white and frothy. Add sugar little pit at a time, until sugar dissolves.
4. Add the egg yolks, again little pit at a time and beat about 3-5 minutes.
5. Add in the dry ingredients, melted butter, and vanilla.
6. MIx until smooth.
7. Greased a pan with butter and floured
8. Pour batter into the pan
9. Preheat oven to 180 C degrees
10. Bake the cake for 30 minutes.
