Watermelon and mozzarella cheese salad

Hello friends I hope you are well, speak in my previous post about the seeds of watermelon, but in this recipe we will use watermelon after having extracted its seeds, on hot days we always want to eat foods that refresh us and the watermelon is one of them , combined with a cheese of our preference and a simple dressing you can enjoy a totally different refreshing salad.

From so much surfing the internet looking for good recipes to share them with you I have seen the combination of ingredients that you would never think you can mix in one dish, this is the case of this salad, take your mouth cheese and watermelon to bite it Soft and sweet watermelon and the salty and smooth of the cheese for sure there will be an explosion in your mouth.


  • 4 thick slices of watermelon
  • 100gr of mozzarella or the cheese of your preference
  • 20 cherries (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 ripe pear tomato
  • ½ lemon
  • Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of soft olive oil
  • 2 leaves of basil
  • Pepper
  • Salt


Chop the watermelon into square pieces of medium size, rinse the tomato well and chop it up and sprinkle and pour a few drops of vinegar (little), cover with plastic wrap and let soak 1 hour in the refrigerator. Meanwhile we prepare the cherry sauce, rinse the cherries, bone and chop them into tiny pieces, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of sugar, a little salt, pepper and 2 teaspoons of oil, 2 basil leaves chopped, mix well, cover with plastic wrap and reserve inside the refrigerator. We have the watermelon and the tomato on the plates, we add the mozzarella cheese, cherry sauce and a few leaves of basil. We serve immediately.
