DIY: Organic ToothpastesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #recipe8 years ago

It is easier than you think to make your own organic toothpaste. It is economical, vegan, eco-friendly, zero waste and it lasts longer than regular ones.

Recently I’ve gotten inspired by Zero Waste Life Style (I will talk about it later =)) which maximizes recycling, minimizes waste, reduces consumption and make sure that products are made to be reused, repaired or recycled back into nature or the marketplace. I’ve used this recipe more than 6 months. This recipe includes three main ingredients coconut oil, baking soda, and essential oil. As you know coconut oil has limitless benefits. First of all, it is anti-aging. It can help fight infections, protects and moisturizes your skin and your hair, prevents gum disease and tooth decay, helps to whiten your teeth…etc so it is good for your health.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoons baking soda
25-30 drops peppermint essential oil (essential oil of your choice)
A mason jar

Mix all three ingredients in a glass dish or a mason jar. Use a little bit with a spoon and put it onto your toothbrush. You can add more or less peppermint or coconut oil. At first, taste can be different than usual but after you get used to it, you won’t use others.

Don't forget to smile =))
