Hush Puppies


40 minutes Can make up to 8 servings

INGREDIENTS

two eggs, beaten
half cup white sugar
one large onion, diced
one cup self-rising flour
one cup self-rising cornmeal
one quart oil for frying

DIRECTIONS

Preperation 10 minutes
Cook 30 minutes
Available In 40 minutes

In a medium sized bowl, merge together eggs, sugar, and onion. Mix in flour and cornmeal.

Heat up two inches of oil to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). Put the batter by rounded teaspoonfuls in hot oil, and fry until golden brown. Cook in small batches to maintain oil temperature. Drain briefly on paper towels. Serve immediately.
