Jam from figs with orange and ginger
- 1 kg of figs;
- 500 g of sugar;
- 200 ml of water;
- ½ orange;
- a small slice of fresh ginger.
Put the figs in a saucepan, add sugar and water. Put on a slow fire and cook for 30 minutes, gently stirring.
Remove the pan from the heat and cool completely. Then add the orange peel and ginger, rubbed on the grater. Stir and cook the jam for another 20 minutes.
