Testing Publish0x - Worth my time?

Hey everyone it has been a while since I write a crypto related review, and thanks to the suggestions from my alter-ego splinterland niche posts, I got to know about this place

Publish0x

But will it worth the time to look through?

1. First look

tntlittlenewthings2020012901.jpg

I have been to other sites like Cent.co and Whaleshares before, like the Steem blockchain, you literally can't do anything tangible when you are a newbie at the site.

Although this platform actually takes time to review your intention of being there, you literally could be a commenter and a supporter of articles you like, without investing a single dime. That is a huge plus points for newbies who has ZERO knowledge for crypto but wants to be onboard and want to support the content creators they have been following from the main social media / word of mouth.

2. Rewards Pool milk-proof?

tntlittlenewthings2020012902.png

In order not to abuse the platform, each author can only be supported by their readers once a day, which means this will not only force the author to create new content daily / more than 24 hours at a time, the readers cannot abusively "support" the author (like farming) more than once a day either.

Sure there are still other loopholes to crack the system, but at surface, the anti-farming resistance logic is already well set

In my humble point of view.

And there is a good reason.

Because there is no mature date (like Steem has for 7 days)

Instead, they make you only produce a content once a day.

I feel that is fair enough

Another interesting thing that I have noticed is that every time you tipped, you have to wait about 6 minutes before you can tip someone else; and the more you tipped, the less BAT (or other tokens) you will be able to do so; just like the Voting Power that we have in the Steem accounts.

and also if you slide it to (author) 50-50 (tipper) reward slide, it also gives lower tip amount, probably the system believes that the post might not worth the tip.

I am not 100% sure but I might test it later with a series of same tipping % and observe the changes

3. The payment

Everything is tied to the ethereum wallet, and depending on the Author's preferences (I am guessing here), your rewards must reach the minimum amount to be able to withdraw.

These are the 4 tokens that is being supported on Publish0x so once you have reached the minimal payment that is stated, then you are good to go.

I still have quite a bit to test this out; but if you already are an author there do comment it here so that I can check this out

Verdict - Worth my time?

Yay

Definitely. It is always good to look at other pastures and see their pros and cons. Of course my main "shilling" is still the steem blockchain, but if there're other ways to shill our main content here over other platforms that could potentially make it into mainstream, why not?

I still have not much idea how to trade the tokens out when the time comes, perhaps @steemrollin and @bitrocker2020 would be the best gurus I can turn to; since Simon already got his first BAT from his recent post I spotted .... but of course, his is from the Brave browser itself, which I have no idea how to set it up properly yet. haha.

There's one thing you need to know though:

They could take a while to get to read your application as an Authentic author at Publish0x; so when they ask for your official other blogsites , make sure your references are of great readable content or else you might lose the chance of having an extra revenue and exposure for your creativity.

I will be using my alter ego name heh heh.

Until then

I agree, it compliments STEEM if anything. I hope at some point the STEEM frond ends will integrate BAT tipping.

But then again, it is cross chain, which can be tricky unless there is a middle man exchanging.

Thank you for your support. Here's a !shop as token of appreciation.

Dear @littlenewthings

Thank you for sharing your post with me. I've heard number of times about Publish0x - however I'm always lacking time to test it out myself.

Could you tell us about this platform token economy? How is it different to steem? Rewards always cause inflation and selling pressure. At the same time Dapps build on steem helps to create some demand. I wonder where demand for token used by publish0x would be coming from?

Interesting read. upvoted already,
Yours, Piotr

Hey @crypto.piotr

The first thing is that this platform runs under the ETH chain of tokens; and so far, I only know about BAT, that actually is part of the Brave Browser rewards.

So my best guess of how the token is fueled, partly is because advertisers will be buying credits from the Brave browser to show their advertisement, and from there, it fuels the BAT.

The other tokens are not certain, hence the reason I will check with the gurus later on how to go about it.
