Are you looking ahead at the impacts of baby boomers and what happens when they all start dying? My guess is this more of an issue for houses than apartments (at least in Australia cos they own all the houses). The first thing that usually happens when old people die is the house goes on the market, but with shrinking birth rates they might actually sell in the future. Japan has already given us some insight into this.
