Real Madrid are the champions of the Club World Cup
MADRID (Reuters) - Real Madrid won the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday evening, after winning a 1-0 victory over Gremio.
The goal of the game, held at the stadium Zayed Sports City in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in the 53rd minute of the second half.
Real Madrid took the game with three goals in mind: the first is to maintain the title, then to end 2017 with five titles, and third to compensate the disappointments suffered by the team at the league level.
Real Madrid qualified for the final with difficulty at the expense of Al-Jazira in the semi-final, which ended 2-1, while Gremio beat Pachuca Mexican 1-0 in the other semi-finals.
The club won the title last year after beating Japan's Kashima Antlers.
In the third and fourth place, Pachuca beat Mexico 4-0 in the UAE, Pachuca finishing third and then the island.
