Reading as a hobby is very beneficial for anyone. By reading new stuff everyday, you are feeding your brain with new information. This way, you are exercising your brain.

I love reading.

I got the love of reading from the last five years or so. But back then I didn't have enough money to buy books so I resorted to the free ebooks available on archive.org .

From there I read the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling and The Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and many others too.

But now I can afford any book I like and that's only possible because of steemit.

Sorry to wander off track. This article is about reading as a hobby. So reading is very very enjoyable.

If you have good imagination, it would be even better for you.

When reading Harry Potter, I could imagine the Basilisk's death stare or flying on a broom and the magnificent Hogwarts castle.

When you imagine things as you read, it just doubles the fun of reading.

Reading is the best hobby

Reading can help you in so many ways

• It increases your knowledge
• It helps pass time
• It helps you to travel without moving. You can cruise through various locations described so beautifully in the books that you see it in your head
• Reading humour can relieve stress and help you get out of depression

The benefits are countless. As the old saying goes..
