Putting What You Learn by Reading and Travel into Action

in #reading2 months ago

"Taking action, rather than acquiring knowledge, is the primary objective of education." (Spencer Herbert)

Who knows—the frequent traveller or the one who reads a lot? It's one of our idioms for which there is no English translation. This idiom is intended to convey the idea that travelling is preferable to reading, even if there is typically no definitive answer.

Put another way, firsthand experience is more informative than reading accounts from others who have gone through it. The real answer is really hard to give and is still up for debate.

Finding a solution to the question of how reading and travelling should be done is essential to moving closer to the correct response. Together, let's have a discussion.

Comparing reading to travelling, we find that reading is far more productive in its context. You can quickly observe innumerable experiences of numerous people by reading. Of course, we should also remember that we do not have enough time to experience everything, even though there is no substitute for doing it firsthand.

To use this greater attribute of reading to your advantage, you can only do one thing: act. If you have aspirations for riches, success, pleasure, or health, documenting the experiences of others in achieving these things might enrich our life.

Naturally, as long as you incorporate the knowledge from those books into your life—even if just a little bit at a time. Making reading a far more powerful skill can be achieved by beginning with the simplest of those exercises you ignore because they are hard and working your way up to more challenging ones.

The time will come when you'll say to yourself, "No more!" Like me, you might find yourself doing something like having a cold shower.

Even while learning through travel is not as effective as reading, we still cannot deny that it enriches our lives. We are inspired by the endless stories we hear about people who travel full-time.

The challenges faced by individuals who have worked in various professions in various countries they visit and have assimilated into those cultures are only incidental elements that contribute to the greater significance of their lives.

Such tales motivate a guy one day, and he embarks on an amazing journey. He travels to Greece to labour on fields. After that, he travels to Israel where he installs irrigation lines, digs graves, and unloads trucks of frozen fish.

Lastly, he is employed in New Zealand as an agricultural worker. In this way, he gets to experience things that will widen his perspective on other cultures and acquire a variety of talents from learning a lot by doing.

Surely this is the true knowledge. These kinds of travel have benefits that are significantly greater than those of studying.
