Pokemon Facts #20 - Raticate
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Alolan Raticate and its Alolan pre-evolution.
- They are also the only Normal-type Pokémon with a double weakness.
- Raticate's catch rate was 90 in Generation I and II, but this was changed to 127 in Generation III.
- Raticate is the only Pokémon that shares its National Pokédex number with the level at which it evolves from its pre-evolution.
- Raticate and its pre-evolution share their category with Pikachu, Raichu, Sandshrew, and Sandslash. They are all known as the Mouse Pokémon.
- Raticate is the only Pokémon not introduced in Generation VII to appear as a Totem Pokémon, appearing as such exclusively in Pokémon Moon. However, while the Pokémon itself was introduced in Generation I, it does appear as a regional variant introduced in Generation VII.
This one also made me crazy in Pokémon go. Way too high appearance rate for when you are looking for the actual rare Pokémon to catch and add to your selection in the pokedex. Have fun out there and good luck with future posts!
