Something that uses a pi outside for a long time...with wireless... Pi would be overkill for Wifi repeater... So would some kind of measurement device, unless you needed to do some sort of processing of the data... Remote IP cams in the woods to record wildlife wirelessly? Other guess would be some kind of network...
Yes, very close - it is a bird box camera because we have feathered visitors who fly away when I try to get close, so I want to watch them remotely :)
