OH MY, Raspberry Pi
This is not about dessert, it's about small inexpensive computer boards that draw very little power.
In 2013 I purchased my first Raspberry Pi model B+ to partially replace an old laptop that I had been using.
The B+ was put into service as a media player.
I purchased a 19" TV, attached the Pi to the back and it has worked flawlessly since.
We watch movies most every night.
The TV Pi combo is portable as one unit with one cigarette lighter plug.
Together they draw ~ 12 watts of electricity.
My total cost ~$150
Last June I purchased another Raspberry Pi...the newest model 3.
After playing with it for a while, I put it to service as a signing computer.
I put it all together with a binder notebook, 4" HDMI display, and portable power supply.
The Pi and display were ordered online. Then I used rivets to attach them to the binder.
The power supply is secured with velcro and removable.
Once the operating system was setup (custom), I made an image and copied that image to other micro SD cards (the entire os is booted from the card and has no bios)
Now if I have to sign something it's a quick power on then sign, power off and destroy the micro SD card with prejudice.

you should check out steempi
it's a system to run on a rasberry pi with all kinds of steem apps, and integration: check @techtek for more info :)
Thanks for the links.
Checking them out now.
Im pretty dumb founded when it comes to computer hardware and components this looks like some hotwired hacker thingy I don't even know what it would be used for. What do you do with it? what do you mean by "if I have to sign something ...and destroy the micro..." why would you destroy anything just because you had to sign something and what do you sing like a document?
On a side note I voted for you here in this comment feel free to upvote https://steemit.com/minnowsupport/@inquiringtimes/nominate-deserving-new-users-for-a-40-steem-powerup-total-150-steem-powerup-giveaway#@isteemithard/re-inquiringtimes-nominate-deserving-new-users-for-a-40-steem-powerup-total-150-steem-powerup-giveaway-20180204t215918347z
Wow! Thank you for your support.
Regarding the signing and destroying, its purpose is to cryptographic sign messages offline.
Once that message is signed, transfer it via camera imaging (qr code) to a online machine so that it can be broadcast.
Similar purpose as trezor and ledger .
Even if you use "shred" command, information is still recoverable via forensics, hence destroy a $5 sd drive.
All "Cloak and Dagger" stuff.
I just experiment and have fun.
Nice Pi usage. I liked your postings on abandoned shit too.
I call mine the crazy computer that can. Amazing PC for 40 bucks...if it breaks... Buy another one.
They are just so much fun.
I'm going to buy another one to purpose it for something else.
Is that a fan on you're Pi?
Yeah the case and fan was like 4 bucks from newegg.com it took 8 weeks to arrive from China. I'm away from good connection but I'll look for the link....found here

Very cool. Thanks for the link
What a simple way to make a portable Raspberry Pi. When you say signing are you talking message encryption or Crypto transfers?
Either.
The lack of bios is an advantage for Pi
Disable wlan0, hci0, etc. and make persistent before saving image.
Also have a cheap old webcam for qr code transfers.
Easy and inexpensive to destroy drive.
Cost ~$100
