1C - Rapalphabet - #3 Cypress Hill

The composition of the Cypress Hill crew is B-real (vocals), Sen Dog (vocals), DJ Muggs (Dj) and Eric Bobo (drums). All of their origins are Lationo Americans who met in Los Angeles and in 1988 founded their musical group. In addition to passion for music, they also had a passion for marijuana. They were advocates of legalization and most of their work was based on smoking joints in narcotic setting. However, this is not a rap where you can only hear about smoke ganja. In the lyrics, they have many nice word games and a lot of facts from their reality, which create very coherent stories, putting them as outsiders who stand out in the rap scene with their charisma and unique style. This is also the first great success of Latin American rappers.

History of Cypress Hill

The group began its artistic activity in 1988. The name was created from the street, which the members of the group called the house - Cypress Avenue. Adding the word Hill meant being at the top of the street jungle. The logo was created because of the musicians' sentiment to rock bands, hence their skeletons, skulls, darkness and darkness. In 1991, in November Cypress Hill signed a contract with the Philadelphia label Ruff House (with the distribution of Columbia Records), the band made their first record, after their first popular single ''How I Could Just Kill A Man''. They release their deniutankci album entitled ''Cypress Hill'', which obtains the status of a platinum album, which sold 1.5 million copies.
In 1992, Cypress Hill became the official musical spokesperson for NORML (the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Rights).

In 1993, the second Cypress album was released - Black Sunday. The album made its first debut in the Billboard charts. In the first week after the premiere, 3.25 million copies were sold, for which the album received the title of double platinum. Promoting the single "Insane In The Brain" became a hit and the first rap song, which came first in the US charts!

Then Cypress Hill recorded the third album entitled "Temples of Boom". She made her debut in the third position of the Billboard, received the platinum title, and in the US sold over 1.5 million copies. Her clips were not released on MTV because they were considered too violent. After recording this album, Sen Dog left the band and founded his own punk-rap group SX-10. Later, however, he returned to the band and recorded with them another album called ''IV''.

The next album appeared in stores exactly on April 25, 2000. Actually, not a record, and two albums - "Skull & Bones". On "Skull" you can find typical hip-hop songs while "Bones" is a typical rock-hardcore sound.

Unique Style of Cypres Hill

The Cypress Hill style was extremely unique and unique. It was mainly due to the passion for rock music and its climate, as well as the interweaving of rap music with other genres of alternative music. As a result, they have gained many fans and not only from the hip-hop community. Often their music was played by skits or people who listened to rock music on a daily basis. It was one of the few phenomena of this kind, reaching many subcultures. Their music is a mixture of sampled boom bap, funky, hardore, bass with the extraction of feelings of darkness, gloom, darkness and mystery. Everywhere in a narcotic climate introducing intoxication from listening - and the joint burning sensations are intensified!

1. After the release of the album, the trio appeared in the program "Saturday Night Live", on MTV arousing controversy with their speech. Then Muggs unexpectedly took out and lit a joint. He explained his behavior with the words - "Insane In The Brain".

2. They came into conflict with the Ice Cube and West Side Connection, which created legendary dissy. The conflict was ended a long time ago but it brought a lot of fire and emotions, because it was one of the beefs on the highest level.
