#Rapthursday - King Gordy

Mir hat mal einer folgendes gesagt: "Der Film "8 Mile" hat mich zu Hip-Hop gebracht." Mhm.
Da kann ich nur mich und ganz heftig mit dem Kopf schütteln und bekomme Gänsehaut. Eminem hat mir einfach noch nie gefallen, vielleicht maximal am Anfang und mit D12 und den MTV-Videos, also als er noch lustig war.

Und somit sind wir schon beim Thema und einem der Darsteller aus "8 Mile"und alten Bandmitglied von D12. Nein, nicht "Bizarre", der Clown. Nein, der noch größere und wuchtigere King Gordy, nicht nur körperlich, sondern auch was die Stimme angeht. Die Gelegenheit ihn euch endlich und am heutigen #rapthursday auf die Lauscher zu spannen, nutze ich schamlos und beginne mit einem Blick auf Wikipedia.
Waverly Walter Alford III (born August 18, 1977) aufgewachsen in Detroit, Michigan. Schon im Alter von 16 Jahren wurde Gordy wegen Drogenverkaufs verhaftet und saß neun Monate in Wayne County.
Bis auf das County ist das Zusammen mit der vorangegangenen Trennung seiner Eltern fast meine Story. Thug Life ;). Nachdem er sich von einer Schießerei bei einem angeblichen Raubüberfall in Detroit, bei der er fünfmal angeschossen wurde erholt hatte, kam King Gordy mit einer Sechs-Track-EP, zusammen mit seinem Fat Killahz-Bandkollegen Bang Belushi, die 2016 veröffentlicht wurde zurück. Hab mal ei Teil angehangen.
Seit 2000 rappt Gordy als Battle Rapper in der lokalen Hip Hop Szene in Detroit. Gordy war Teil der "Fat Killahz" und hat fünf Solo-Alben über Morbid Music LLC aufgenommen.
Aus den Soloalben habe ich meine Lieblinge raus gepickt. Man beachte sein Talent zu singen (und zu schreien) und den Horrocore-Style im allgemeinen bei den Videos 2-5.
