Worldofhiphop – Rap from Canada - Snak the Ripper [EN/DE]

Hey guys!

This is a new Article for my #worldofhiphop project! Please have a look

Just yesterday I discovered an great raper from New Westminster in Canada, called Snak the Ripper. I listened through his playlist on Youtube and Spotify and I must admit I'm pretty hooked. He has so much energy in his raps and great lyrics too!

He also got a pretty good feature with another raper from Canada - Merkules (I will introduce him to you in another article).

A quote about his early years from his Wikipedia Article is quite interesting i think:

Snak The Ripper grew up in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, a suburb located just outside Vancouver, BC. He attended Garibaldi Secondary School from grade 8 through 11 before dropping out. In 2001, he was charged with 150 counts of mischief, but due to lack of evidence, the charges were dropped. Between 2003 and 2006, Snak moved around between Vancouver, Montreal & Toronto to perfect his Graffiti skills and build notoriety in the Canadian Hip Hop Scene Snak The Ripper was homeless and struggled with substance abuse, using his love for writing songs as an escape.

gerade gestern habe ich einen großartigen Künstler aus New Westminster in Kanada gefunden. Er nennt sich Snak the Ripper. Ich hab mich mal durch seine Playlists auf Spotify und Youtube gehört und muss zugeben das es mich ziemlich gepackt hat! Er hat so viel Energie in seinen Raps und großartige Texte!

Außerdem gibt es ein ziemlich gutes Feature von ihm mit einem anderen Raper aus Kanada - Merkules (den stelle ich euch in einem anderen Artikel vor).

Ein Zitat über seine frühen Jahre aus seinem Wikipedia Artikel finde ich ziemlich interessant:

Im Jahr 2001 wurde er wegen 150 Vergehen angeklagt, die Klage wurde jedoch wegen mangel an Beweisen fallen gelassen. Zwischen 2003 und 2006 zog Snak zwischen Vancouver, Montreal und Toronto hin und her um seine Grafittikünste zu verbessern und um seinen Bekanntheitsgrad als Rapper in der Kanadischen Hiphopszene zu vergrößern. Snak war Obdachlos und hatte Probleme mit Drogen. Seine Liebe fürs Songs schreiben half ihm um da rauszukommen.
