As am prepping myself for tomorrow's surgery, I couldn't sleep well last night. Went to bed at midnight and woke up already at 3.20 AM Oy Vey!
As I was thinking of what it woul be like tomorrow, I realized this would not be my first time being cut and sewn inside an OR. This would be my 4th if not 5th time! Oy Vey!
As I couldn't stop wondering whether I should keep blogging to ease my mind as am damn nervous for tomorrow, I learned I got a writer's block 😅 Oy Vey!
As I strolled a clothing store to find a supportive linen for after surgery's wound, I cursed as I couldn't find nothing, and checking online, the one I need costs $220 at least. Oy Vey!
As I Googled much of what the future holds after surgery, I shook my head learning I would still be swollen for 3-6 months, if am lucky. Wow! OY VEY!
As am ending this rant as I need to prep more, it crossed my mind I asked the wrong questions the other day at the doctor's appointment.
- should I shave
- should I put deodorant on
- should I apply lipstick or lipbalm
- should I paint my nails pretty
Too many should I, I forgot to ask!!!!
Priorities, man, priorities. Don't forget to ask priorities.
Paint the nails rainbow before anything else!

Even worse today, and tomorrow I might pass out, but that would be better than as they need to put me to sleep anyways 😅😅😅😅

Hehe yeah just joking. Nails must not be painted but gel nails are okay. That is one weird policy 🤔
haha It does seem like a very strange policy. The reason you can't have nail polish, but gel is ok, is because they need to be able to see your nail beds, to make sure oxygen levels are ok. (Nails will turn blue-ish if oxygen levels take a dive.) Though, I've heard some ppl had to remove false nails because they can interfere with the pulse ox monitor... seems to depend on the doctor/surgery.
Yes I was informed so, but aren't gel nails also colorful? How could they tell if the gel nails are not clear though?
I forgot to dispute this with the nurse the other days (about colored gel nails 😂)

They can be colorful, but typically only the tips are colored, and the nail bed is clear. But they CAN be fully colored... so that is a pretty silly exception.
