Steemit incentivizes reward-pool gaming, not reward based on merit.

I realized this a while back, and changed my time spent on the platform proportionally.

It could change, but honestly any Proof-of-Stake system is biased towards those that hold the most - much like developed nations where there's two sets of laws - one for the average schmuck and one for the rich.

The rich also have the resources to exercise control in various ways due to sheer resources available to them. I don't know why Steemit became enamored with this kind of setup, but I don't think it will end well.

Just hanging out here to see if it might change, but I'm not holding my breath.
