Minnowsupport is vital to encouraging new content creators to not give up and leave - which is the basis of steemit and $steem success.
I can vouche i was frustrated in my first few weeks until i was turned on to minnowsupport discord and found some support to continue.
The goal should be to use minnowsupport - until you don't need it anymore - like taking off the training wheels and riding on your own. It should be a goal to achieve through good content and interactions.
