Meanwhile Back At The Ranch: So Much To Do So Little Time !
We Do finally have the Baler going tho it is not making the best bales ever. Finally we managed to get the hay off of my neighbors land and have moved the equipment out to some acreage in Wyoming we are haying.
We are getting our normal August heat wave right now . That is good we have had so much rain. It needed to dry up a bit .
My son has been out haying while I work on a remodel that we are trading for hay.
We also found a deal on some chaff from a local heirloom grain farmer. I went and picked up a to. Of this to blend for winter feed for the cows and chickens.
Once these were successfully unloaded it was sunset once agaian
This sunset was enjoyed from the top of Sundance mountain overlooking Bell Fourche
Making hay. Now that is work
Yes sir! Haying season has been crazy good this year.
Indeed! Isn't that so much the norm on a homestead? So much to do so little time. But that first photo is beautiful. So peaceful looking from your bales across the field with the barn near the tree line and a lovely summer sky
Thank you! We are enjoying the journey!
