Martingale is dangerous because it works a long time. The risk is lower, but there is a risk. But the potential profit is out of proportion to the loss. On the other hand, for the casino, the small loss is absolutely proportional to the potential profit.

I actually think it is the most dangerous thing that it seemingly work for such a long time. People get hooked.
But if it would be so simple Las Vegas would be pretty small
