The Fallen Jackfruit in the heavy rain!

in #rain6 years ago

It's heavy rain here and we didn't have electricity for past few days. Rain continues to wreck havoc here in Kerala. It has claimed more than 100 lives so far and many have been moved to makeshift camps arranged by our government.

As I'm living in an altitude of over 2000m, I never had to scare inundation. But the big trees getting uprooted is major concern here. It seems like we are used to it.

The other day a jackfruit had fell down from a big tree because of the intense wind. We have narrowly escaped from it falling over our head! Anyway, we took and made it ready to be cooked. Here are some photos of that jackfruit(Not exactly a fruit!)

Following picture is of a jackfruit seed. People would misunderstand if I not give a title!

I hope this heavy rain will eventually become a boon to our entire state!

Thanks for taking your time to read this.

our state is indeed in a very bad state and it is sad to see the plight of the people in the low lying areas. Our floors are all damp and to top it electricity issues. I am glad you escaped the hit and got a jackfruit curry instead.
