A privileged brown male cisgender thoughts! (The “ Burkini “ case)

in #racism8 years ago

Read all the news and comments regarding to the “ tragedy of the Burkini case “ and as usual people where in between “whiners” who were talking about ( how dare not to be 100% with freedom and human rights “ and some voices were about talking of “ kicking the Muslim woman out”.

I can understand both sides and there way of thinking, because this is what the modern society is all about these days, bullies VS soft whiners,
while logical and realistic points of view kept in the shadow as it represent a slight minority inside the society. To be honest I was looking toward finding a voice that could explain something logical that goes outside the whiners VS bullies bubble, but I couldn’t find.We have to open our minds and see a little bit further than our mobiles and laptops screen and just simply think! The whole idea of the burkini case, is not about clothes nor about being a woman, its all about a natural and normal consequences of people who tempt to show a “ visual threat “ toward societies, a threat that caused many incidents that keeps counting numbers of innocents souls gone, based on a threat represented by a religious ideology can be shown visually.

I don’t need to have a full conversation with a “ skinhead with a swastika T shirt” to see if he is a true extremist or he is just wearing his swastika “ peacefully “.Neo Nazis are a threat to a society whether we like it or not. Religious Muslims who shows their ideological identity visually, are now considered to be a threat, whether we like it or not.People are scared, people prevent to be in places that they can find one or several of them, its human nature, and it’s a natural consequences based on past experience, and in most daily based cases it’s a subconscious reflection.

Finally talking about the “ anti-burkini “ law, I consider it a very intelligent and specific law, as it doesn’t target “ real moderate Muslims “ it doesn’t target brown or Arabic people based on their color or language, it only targets those who live a mix identity, between the devotion of religious laws, and the isolation by living in an unfit status with any modern and democratic laws.I repeat whether we like it or not, they are considered and pointed out to be threat to the society,

we have to live with it, as we saw the great weight of the consequences that it can be caused by ignoring this reality.

Welcome to the real world.

Has nothing to do with racism!

The article looked interesting until I saw the hashtag #racism... I was wondering why such hashtag and expecting a stubborn article.
I was wrong.
I gave it a read... and in the end, it's a fine article asking the right questions and trying to answer them.

It's a bit too short and unstructured to really be a hidden gem, but I would be glad to read more about your positions about integration (from the point of view of @ hashimalmadani, former-muslim, hence under the risk of apostasy/death penalty vs. Islam)

Cheers.

the hashtag is simply because people relate such incident to " racism " without question themselves about " WHY " this really happening, in my opinion racism doesnt have anything to do as much as its an ideological refusal.

the article was short, so you would be eager to read more in future articles :)

and regarding to the final part, I promise that you will get lots of info regarding to this subject,

Regards!

I will follow you to read more from you in the future !

When I see the "racism" hashtag I always think its sarcastic. :D
